Vinyl / Lino
Floor Preparation
It is essential to the successful outcome of a new floor to prepare bases properly. On sand and cement screeds we use smoothing compounds.
To timber bases we use 6mm plywood.

On most projects time is money for our clients. We have the solutions to deliver fast track, guaranteed preparations.

This building site sub floor required a 2mm vinyl floor finish.
Good preparation is essential where we would:

Make sure the floor has low levels of moisture in it.
Check with us first as we have the processes and solutions
    to avoid damp floor failures.

Apply a primer to a dust free base. This avoids future smoothing
compounds delaminating from the sub floor.

  Apply underlayment (Smoothing Compound).
Mixed safely and properly and applied in correct thicknesses.

Survey Advice
We offer a free, onsite service to survey subfloors. We write specifications and price options to suit all budgets.

This is a floor investigation we did for a Department Store. The picture shows 5 layers of failing flooring and timber preparations. We provided a solution putting in one thick layer of plywood to the base and laid a new long term floor finish.
